How to Do RTGS Bank Transfer?

RTGS stands for Real Time Gross Settlement which is an electronic fund transfer system. This type of electronic transfer is used to transfer higher amount of money above 2 lakhs as the minimum amount to be transferred is 2 lakhs and there is no maximum limit. The money transferred is executed by the clearance office of RBI, it is done in time slots and the timings are Monday – Friday is 9 A.M to 4.30 P.M and for Saturday it is 9 A.M to 2 P.M.

RTGS Bank Transfer Online

RTGS Bank Transfer can be done by following these methods-

Adding Beneficiary

Log In to your net banking website and click on the profile tab.
Click on the manage beneficiary
Select Add option and fill the required data of Beneficiary name, Address, account number and transfer limit.
Now fill the Bank IFSC Code of the Beneficiary Bank.
Now accept the Terms and Condition followed by clicking confirm. A security pass code is sent to your registered mobile number. Enter this number and validate the beneficiary. The beneficiary will be added and takes from 30 min to 16 hours.

Transfer Fund

Select the ‘Inter Bank Transfer’ link in the ‘Payments/Transfers’ tab.
Select the transfer type to RTGS.
The list of beneficiary accounts added will be displayed.
Enter the Amount and select the beneficiary to be credited.
Accept the terms and condition and click confirm.

RTGS Bank Transfer Offline

RTGS can also be used offline by filling a form provided at your bank branch. For amount above 2 lakhs, you have to attach the cheque leaf with the RTGS Form.

Indian Overseas Bank was established in the year 1937, This bank was established by the M. Ct. M. Chidambaram Chettyar.
